Burning nipples after nursing?

I’m 4weeks PP. I feel like my nipples burn after each feeding. Her latch is okay but sometimes shallow. When I nurse it only hurts when she latches for maybe ten seconds. If it hurts for too long, I fix her latch. Just wondering if it’s normal for nipples to burn afterwards at this point (since my nipples are still pretty sore and raw but getting better).

I am going through the same thing! I watched some YouTube videos and that helped me to with getting her to latch more comfortably...but I still don't feel its deep enough!

When she’s done feeding does your nipple look flat or round?
If it looks like lipstick then she has had a good latch, if it looks like blue tac that has been pinched then her latch isn’t deep enough. That is the main cause of sore nipples.
