What is considered moving too quickly?

I have been dating someone exclusively for 8 months. I voiced to them I wanted to see them more than once a week. They said that they aren’t where I am in the relationship yet. He invited me to eat Thanksgiving leftovers but not thanksgiving dinners. My feelings are hurt and he thinks I fell for him to quickly. We were dating for 5 months and exclusively dating 8 months. He says I cannot expect for him to be where I am. He didn’t want me to meet his dad which is why he didn’t invite me to the dinner even though I met his mom. Which I understand but didn’t even communicate with me. Instead he blew me off and didn’t reach out to me all thanksgiving day. Am I moving too fast for wanting to spend more than once a week or every other week with someone I’m supposed to be dating ? Smh
