Severe, sharp and concentrated pain

Hi guys,

I’m having severe sharp and concentrated pain on my lower left side where my left ovary should be. I usually get pain like this on alternating sides but not usually this severe. It’s been off and on for the last couple days and when it’s on it’s probably a 9/10. Has anyone experienced this before? Do you think it’s just a cyst? I also just started my period yesterday but this pain is different from my cramps. It is also making me very nauseous.
