My baby will be abused....

Al

That is what my parents are telling me. My son is almost 5 months and right now is not in daycare. In the next 3-6 months though he will be going to daycare-not an option not to due to my husband and I working. My son has issues being put down, especially at nap time. He cannot nap without being held most of the time. My parents are telling me this will be a huge issue at daycare and will set him up for the potential of abuse where he is either neglected for physically abused because of his crying.

I know my parents are just trying to be realistic and "help" pointing it out but wtf.

I know newborn babies physically aren't capable to of self soothing, but he is getting to the age where he should start having the capabilities. I just dont know where to start. I've read you put them down and let them cry for a "little while " before going to them, but he just lays there and screams. I dont understand how that is teaching him to self sooth.

I just don't want my son to be that nightmare daycare baby who gets neglected and abused 😔
