gradual change?

my bf stopped becoming as clingy as he used to be, he stopped being so overprotective & stuff. He doesn’t really get jealous anymore. (Well I haven’t given him a reason to or anything but before he used to whenever a guy looked at me or talked to me) I mean he’s still protective, but he seems like he’s more lenient now. I mean this is a good thing right? It feels weird going from dealing with a bf who was constantly all about me to just being so laid back & stuff. It’s so weird how it changed. I’m not sure what to think of it, is this normal? We’ve been together almost 2 years now, so idk. what do u guys think?
