Help! Nuchal translucency scan results

Posting here in our June babies group too to see if anyone else is going through something similar. ❤️

Hoping for some reassurance about the results I got from my scan today. Nuchal fold measures at 3 mm, which my high risk doctor said was on the cusp between normal and abnormal- I was sent to the high risk doc because I was born with neural tube defects.

The doctor said that this didn’t necessarily indicate that anything was wrong and that, most likely, it’s nothing. They’re going to see me again in 8 weeks and I did opt to go ahead and do the genetic testing because of the results of the scan, which the doctor said may be a good idea for me to look into (now let’s pray insurance covers some of it, since they did mark me as having an abnormal ultrasound on the bloodwork order). I got that bloodwork drawn today after my ultrasound and should have results within a week.

Should I be worried? Obviously we will love this baby no matter what, but I just want to know what to prepare for. Picture of my sweet nugget from today ❤️
