Does anyone have or has anyone had a toddler and a newborn at the same time? Any tips?

How to manage when one gets sick, trips outside, handling when both are hungry or cranky, etc?

For the first couple months have family and friends take your toddler for a couple hours to have some one and one adult time doing something fun. Also be lax about screen time and give yourself some time if you need it for the first couple months. It’s a hard time. Ask for help (be specific with help like can you bring us a meal or hold the baby while I have a nap or shower) and accept ALL offered help. Don’t try and be super mom. 
Also keep clear communication with your partner. Tell him/her what you need, even if it seems obvious. (Don’t be annoyed when they complain they are tired, they are allowed to feel tired too)

I have a 3.5 year old, 20 month old, and 1 month old.
Trick is having a very strict schedule. 
Newborn always comes first, unless there is something dangerous going on (someone is about to hurt themselves doing whatever). 
I breastfeed my newborn and my older two are very good while feeding him, sometimes they come sit an snuggle but usually stay out of mischief. 
Going out it tough, it’s easier when my newborn is asleep or when I bring the Baby K’Tan to carry him in. 
We do not go out within an hour of nap time starting to prevent cranky fits. Nap time is 1 month old starts nap, while my toddlers eat lunch, once they are done my 3.5 year old plays ABC Mouse on his tablet while I rock his 20 month old sister to sleep.
Like I said routine helps them know what to expect! :)

I have a 3y, a 2y and a 5 month old. 
Its really seems more scary than it actually is. Everyone eventually settles into a groove and you take it day by day. 
Just have patience, take it easy on yourself and ask for help when you need it. Also be flexible, dont get stuck on going by a schedule because sometimes thats way more stressful thang going with the flow!

Yes. My first two are 21 months apart. Which one I took care of first depended on what they needed. For instance, if they were hungry at the same time, I generally fed my toddler first. Making him a sandwich or cutting up some fruit took a couple of minutes vs 20-40 minutes to nurse the baby. But honestly, there were very few times where I had to choose between them. They did not tend to want/need something at the same time. Oldest will be 3 soon, second is almost 15 months.
