Abnormal pap?

Ladies help. I just got my first Pap smear and my doc just called and said it came back abnormal and possibly need to do a biopsy... what does this mean? And don’t sugar coat it for me haha! 😂 any ladies have this happen??

When this happened to me, my doctor scheduled a colposcopy and biopsy in the office.  It was very uncomfortable.   The biopsy came back precancerous cells caused by HPV, so I had to have a LEEP done, which is a surgical procedure where they take off part of your cervix.  Recovery from that wasn't bad at all.   I was told that, because my cervix was now shorter, I might go into premature labor when I got pregnant, but four or five years later, when I had my baby, I didn't go into premature labor.   
All of my subsequent PAPs have been normal.

I've had abnormal paps every time. Biopsies done during pregnancy. I just had my 3rd child and had another biopsy at 4 weeks postpartum the cells went from CINIII (PRECANCEROUS). To CNS which is cancer. Now I have a cold knife procedure scheduled for next week to take a cone shaped portion of my cervix out to test as well. The biopsies that were already done were small and not painful just uncomfortable. This time for the cold knife I'm being out to sleep and I'm beyond scared shitless. If this comes back positive they want to take even more then they will decide if I need a hysterectomy. The doctor still hasn't released me back to work yet because of this.

Sometimes it’s nothing at all. It’s super common for paps to come back abnormal. Mine came back abnormal and I just had a yeast infection.

I had a colposcopy & biopsy last October. It doesn’t hurt.
