Was I wrong? Please read

So I took my friend to a concert tonight that we both wanted to go to. I of course was the sober one (he’s an alcoholic) and he was more drunk than I’ve ever seen him. He left his car at my house before the concert and I drove. Afterwards I told him I was taking him to his house and he can get an Uber to his car in the morning. He got PISSED. He wanted to drive home. So at a stop light (still going 8mph) he jumped out of the car. I asked him once to get back in and he said “fuck you! Leave”. So I left. Was I wrong for leaving?

He not says hes never hated someone more in his life. I feel like I wasn’t in the wrong because he’s a grown man who made a grown decision. I just can’t help but feel guilty....
