Not sure what to think

So I’ve been seeing this guy for about a month now. We are together almost every night and he says he loves me like all the time but he hasn’t asked me to be his girlfriend?? We are pretty close.. For his birthday I tried to make it really special and I think I did.. I saw him telling people about me , his family, etc.. is that weird to anyone else that he hasn’t asked me or is it just me? We have really cute pictures together and I want to post them but I don’t want to be the first one to do it..!😅
