When are you telling people? I am having a wine night with my friends tonight. They will know something is up if I'm not drinking with them. I have a wine bottle full of grape juice, but I'm thinking about just telling them. Thoughts?

If you really don’t want to tell them, say that your period is late and you’re being cautious. Or tell one friend and ask them to switch out drinks with you so it looks like you’re drinking. 
At thanksgiving I was just one day late but already tested positive. I took sips of a beer and mostly pretended to drink while my husband switched beers out with the ones he was drinking.

This is my third. With my first we told friends and family at 4-5 weeks and everyone else at 9 after our ultrasound. With my second we told at 5 weeks. Smoky and friends one day and everyone else the next. I’m 4 wks and a few days with this one and we’ve told several friends so far. We are planning a surprise for Christmas for family so we aren’t telling them til 8 wks which is so weird for me lol.

If these are girls you are very close to, I would just tell them. If you haven’t told anyone else yet (like family) I would let them know that this is a secret and you’re still pretty early. I think they will be so so happy for you!! Congratulations!💕

I just had this same issue...except at a work networking event with open bar.  I tried to order some mocktails but the different glasses they were giving to me gave it away to some close colleagues.    I ended up opening up to a couple in my immediate group so they could help me dodge questions throughout the night.  Wasn't expecting to tell them now but felt so relieved when I did and made it all feel that much more real. ♡

We had friends over for dinner and I filled an empty bottle of alcohol we had with grape juice and no one questioned it. I’ve also pretended to be hungover to avoid drinking other times. This time of year is the hardest not to rouse suspicion🤦‍♀️ I would only tell them if you want to and feel comfortable.
