Softest sheets?

Trying to find a really good pair of sheets for our bed. Microfiber or Jersey sheets? Egyptian sheets? Anyone have a favorite? There’s so many choices 😱😱😱

I bought some cheap sheets from Target for our guest bedroom and they’re so soft! They’re the Threshold brand and they’re organic cotton. For our bed I buy Potterybarn Egyptian cotton sheets and they’re very nice.

The higher the thread count the better. 
We love Egyptian cotton and jersey but sometimes the jersey sheets get hot for us.

I buy Egyptian Cotten sheets (over 1000 thread count) on eBay. Decent price for sheets that get softer every time you wash them. I’ve also got Amazon brand sheets too though and their pretty soft. I use Jersey sheets or fleece in the winter for extra warmth.

Thread count isnt the answer, its only part of a good sheet. Many companies will use multi ply fabric and add the number counts together, like two layers of 300 to make 600 ttpi. 
I would look for good quality fabric, i prefer Egyptian cotton. Some people like supima cotton. (It can be grown in US). 
You can google decent articles on sateen versus percale. I like smoothness and softness of sateen. 
I love my Hotel Collection e cotton sheets from Macys. Best/good value ones are probably e cotton ones from Pottery Barn.

They’re a crisp cool cotton and great quality.
