Please put my mind at ease?

Let me first start out by saying I am a hypochondriac. I am 37 weeks pregnant with my second child.

Today while at an organic makeup store I was deciding on lip glosses and the lady that worked there got me some tester sticks and dipped them into the tester tubes for me to try on. Even tho this is the most sanitary way to do it- I still always have my doubts with testers. I went against my best judgment and tried them. I immediately wiped them off (like that would really undo any damage). I tried 2 different ones but now I cant stop thinking what if someone who had herpes didnt use a sanitary applicator but the one that comes with the gloss... wouldnt that contaminate the entire tube?

Now I am stressed about getting a form of herpes. I know its extremely common and almost everyone has it- but I dont want to worry about having a cold sore or being contagious with a newborn. I have never had a cold sore in my life and dont even know if I already have the virus. I dont know much about the virus and I doubt having a cold sore would prevent me from having another vaginal delivery right? Like you dont just randomly get genital herpes from having cold sores? I seriously know I am overreacting over this but I really just need some sense talked into me please!
