Safe sleep question about car seats?

I read that car seats are not a safe place for babies to sleep, but it seems like babies fall asleep often in their car seats. What should I do if my baby falls asleep in their car seat? Wake them up?

Just take them out when you reach your destination. There's not much you can do about them sleeping in the car

In the car is fine but baby shouldn’t be left to sleep in the car seat when not driving.

I think this is more for the people that keep their kids in car seats when they don’t need to be in one. Your baby shouldn’t be in a car seat unless it’s in the car.

Babies should be in a car seat max 2 hours since they can’t adjust their heads or have the reflex to change positions if they can’t breathe etc. If we run errands or take a drive and come back home depending what the situation is we take him out when we get where we are unless it’s at the store we leave him. If we’re home or somewhere else he’s out and in our arms. Same for bouncers and swings.
