Please help a panicking momma.. best tips for going through a custody battle...with a newborn.

Seriously needing encouragement. The father is EXTREMELY manipulative and charismatic but has an alcohol issue, an ex drug addict roommate who lost his own child due to drug use, and a girlfriend who threatened to leave him if he spoke to me. All the baggage between my ex and his roommate I learned at the very end of our short relationship when they were drunk and shared much more than they intended. I left. Then found out I was pregnant despite my birth control a week and a half later. Now we are going to be going to court. I’m just afraid somehow he will be granted overnights this early (my son is 2mos), time alone at all scares me because he’s an effing idiot , but overnights i would be worried sick. I’m meeting with a lawyer tomorrow and will hopefully get some clarity of how the process works and where I have leverage..
