Trying But Not Trying Hard

Lauri

My beautiful baby boy was born 5 months ago and I had my first post partum period last month. We want our babies close in age but it took 7 cycles to get pregnant the first time so we decided to roll the dice and I stopped my birth control. We're not doing anything special at all except I noticed the day after my predicted ovulation day that I had potentially ovulated so we used some preseed I had left over from the last time. We had had sex a few times before ovulation day just coincidentally though nothing on the peak day because I wasn't paying attention. I don't want to start trying seriously with tracking and all the rest because it made me crazy the last time. Every time my period started, even the very first month, totally crushed me, so I'm taking it easy. Still, I'm due to start today and I'm usually very regular. I've been mildly nauseous the last couple days and last night I was having some cramping, but I usually don't start having cramps until after I've seen blood with my periods. Breast changes was my first sign of pregnancy with my son but I'm breast feeding/pumping so I can't tell if anything's different. I broke this morning and decided to test even though I should just wait until at least tomorrow to see if my period comes but I tried anyway and... The test was faulty! The control line didn't even show up. So annoyed. It's a test saved from before, but it should still be good. Oh well. I have more tests coming from Amazon and if I don't start today like I'm supposed to I will test when they arrive. Baby dust to you all! I know fertility is a really really difficult road for some women, but know that you've got so many other women rooting for you and saying prayers, crossing their fingers, and whatever for all of you to get that positive you've been hoping for this month whether they know you or not! I'm one of them. 💖
