Gassy baby

My two week old after having formula would start to scream and bring her needs to her chest and passed gas I called the pediatrician and he said it was OK to try little remedies gas drops knock on wood they seem to be working after I feed her I would give her the drops she instantly would fall asleep my only thing now is every time I feed her I need to give her the drops until her digestive system matures? Has anyone used this before for a long period of time??
