When does it end!?

I got my mirena put in on Halloween, and I’m STILL spotting 😩 my obgyn said spotting is normal, but for almost 6 weeks..? My sisters didn’t have this issue at all. Some days it’s not really anything, others it’s bright red, and most it’s just the dark red/brown old blood. It’s seriously making me want to get it taken out! Has anyone else ever spotted for a long time at first and then had it go away and never bleed again? That’s what I’m hoping for lol
