Gestational Diabetes Screen

I had my one hour screening on Friday and just heard back that my results were 167.

I’m going back in tomorrow for the 3 hour and wanted to know what some of your experiences were?

The day of the test I didn’t fast because my doctor never said to... so I had a protein bar, a fruit leather and a granola bar as well as a coffee with sugar free creamer.

I called the nurse and she said that they like to see the numbers below 140 and an automatic fail (where they wouldn’t bother with a 3 hour) is 200.

I can see this going either way but also wanted to know for those of you who were

diagnosed with GD what did you have to do differently afterwards to keep your levels normal?

Also, anyone have any thoughts on my numbers?
