Long story
My last period was November 13th. I was home (Nevada) when it came on. I returned back to my husband (Virginia) about a week later. My period lasted about a day or two longer than normal, no big deal. But the blood never stopped. Some days it would just be discharge and some days it would be heavy spotting. My mother wrote it off as that’s what happens when you travel, your period gets affected. I finally went to an urgent care on Saturday where they told me I was pregnant. They then referred me to an emergency room where a urine test was taken, blood was drawn, a pelvic exam, and two ultrasounds (one vaginal) were done. Then they told me that my pregnancy was ectopic and that I was gonna have to have surgery to have one of my fallopian tubes removed. So I had surgery that night and stayed in the hospital the following morning where I was fed percocets for the pain which was horrid (my tolerance for pain is almost nonexistent so i’m fainting at the thought of even a paper cut). I was discharged Sunday evening and prescribed ibuprofen and percocet for the pain. The doctor told me to expect bleeding and cramping, but i’m bleeding very heavy and cramping horribly. It feels like a regular period but my mother said my cycle restarted and it might just be side affects. I have sort of been hard on myself since i left the hospital (out grocery shopping, taking the bus to run errands, my husband’s job won’t let him off the hook for five minutes 🙄) so maybe I’m just straining myself but I’m literally up typing this because I can’t sleep due to the pain. Is this normal? I’m gonna give my surgeon a call in the am anyway but has anyone experienced something similar? I don’t like this 😔 What can i do to help?
Edit: I just used the bathroom and there was an alarming amount of blood.
