Preemie diapers/outfits?

Question

I'm 29+3 as of today and my doctors have been tossing around IUGR as a diagnosis. Currently my baby is measuring in the 12th percentile with the stomach measuring in the 10th percentile and falling more and more behind at every appointment. He's also barely measuring at 2lbs as of now. 
I have ultrasounds every week from now on to track his growth as well as a bunch of extra blood tests to try to figure out why he's not growing. As of now, I'm not being induced early but it could become an option any day now.
I'm curious as to if any other mums with an IUGR diagnosis decided to get a few preemie diapers as well as a preemie sized outfit just to have on hand? Or am I overthinking this whole thing? I just really want to be prepared if he's going to be a small baby.

My daughter had an IUGR. She wore premie diapers, but I never bought premie outfits. Her newborn clothes were just a little big on her and she wore them for a lot longer. I think the diapers are more important. But I didn’t buy any premie diapers until I had her. I didn’t want to buy a bunch of diapers I may not need.

I would definitely buy some clothing, possibly a pack of diapers. My son was diagnosed with IUGR and I was induced at 33+6 weeks due to preeclampsia. He was born 3lbs and was in preemie clothing for a few months. Luckily the NICU sent us home with quite a supply of preemie diapers so we only had to purchase the preemie clothing. 
Our second baby was born at 40 weeks and was 6lbs and also fit into preemie clothing his first month. 
Our third baby was born at 39+7 and wore preemie for about a week maybe two weeks?

A couple sleepers in premie would be good to have my hospital game me some premie diapers and if you need more you can order after baby is born and you know how big they are

my daughter was induced bc of an IUGR as well... 12th percentile with her belly in the 5th... induced at 38 weeks and born at 6lbs 3oz. newborn diapers fit well, newborn clothes are still kinda big but we prefer them to preemie clothes because she’s so squirmy when we try to dress her and it’s a lot easier to do when the clothes are a little loose

My daughter was almost 7 pounds at birth at 38+3 weeks. She fit into preemie clothes for the first week.

I would get a few outfits. Not sure about diapers as my daughter was born at 34weeks@ 5lbs and they were to small on her so she used newborn which was to big but she wasn’t leaking out of them.. So it depends on how big baby is gonna be. The diapers are up to 5lbs and so are the clothes..

My son was always ahead 2 weeks and was born too small for premie clothes. So, I would get a couple outfits (don’t go over board) and 1 pack of pfennig diapers (don’t open beforehand) just to be prepared. I expected a normal sized baby and that wasn’t the case. He was in the 10th percent at birth now he’s in the 4th percent at 5 months old
