Baby vomiting+urgent care visit=panicked mom
I am FTM and visiting my family in USA with my 7 months old baby girl. We are from Germany. My baby doesn't really eat solids but i keep on trying with baby purees and stuff. Last night I fed hed gerber squash baby food.. she ate about 3-4 spoons.. she was fine all night, just a little extra fussy. This morning i fed her about a spoon of egg yolk. After an hour later, she started vomiting. She vomited like 5 times and the last thing coming out of her stomach was yellow stuff which i blve was egg yolk. I rushed to urgent care. The doctor saw her and said it may have been viral GI issue. She gave her zofran tablet and told me to wait 20 mints and then breastfeed. Baby was fine after that. However she did tell me to keep an for dehydration. I asked her about solids and she said babies don't need solids b4 age 1. She said babies actually burn calories when they eat solids, so she advised me to stick with breastmilk until she's 1. Now i am hella confused. Should i stop giving her solids? The way she was vomiting really scared me.
