Rant?!
Men assume because they know someone who's had a child, wife, girlfriend, sister etc. That they are experts on the experience.
I work in an office full of men, two of whom are fathers. Who have an opinion on everything child and birthing related. (mind you I never express my desires and plans to them, they ask me)
I expressed my desire to birth naturally and I have every intent to. Mind over matter, I know I'm capable of it.
But men being men, "ooooh just wait! Once those contractions come you'll be begging for pain meds"
Or I express to them sorry guys just tired today "ooooh just wait till baby is here durhurhurhur"
Like please stop mansplaining motherhood to me...
Just because YOU wouldn't be able to handle the pain doesn't mean I'm unable.
ALSO, just because a man experienced seeing a birth, does NOT mean you have experienced birth.
I'm a firm believer that only the strongest souls are born as women.
End rant.
