Nap Trouble

My baby will be 5 months next week. I cannot get naps down!! She is so tired but every time I put her down (anywhere) to sleep, she screams. Someone please help. she will rub her eyes, yawn, fall asleep on me, then wake up when I put her down. I've tried putting her down drowsy but awake, I've tried the 'pick up put down ' sleep training (she freaks out the most when i do this.) I've let her fuss but not fully cry in her bed (I don't feel comfortable letting her cry it out more than 5-10 min.) I've even tried laying with her until she falls asleep but she cries even when I do that. Am I doing something wrong? :(
