Do you have to get a normal cycle...

Do you have to go through a normal period cycle after stopping birth control to conceive ? I stopped birth control a month ago glow said period was supposed to come yesterday (I know it isn’t always 100%) we BD when it was saying was close to my ovulation but since I didn’t get my period yet ( sadly didn’t check with ovulation kits) is there a chance I’m out until I get a period cycle off birth control ? I didn’t really pay attention last time and I know it took around three months to get pregnant last time I stopped birth control and I was on it for 9 years. I took a test three days ago but it was a bfn.
