Epidural expierence?

What is ur expierence with the epidural? I plan to get the epidural but I am really nervous as I heard it hurts pretty bad? I'm more scared of that than giving birth lol

So basically not as bad as I'm thinking? Lol just the whole thought of a needle in my back just makes me cringe. But I guess you right if he contractions are super bad your not gunna care about it in that moment.

I loved it. Never wanted to get it I was nervous it would hurt. I could not even feel them put it in. It’s nothing compared to the contractions pain. Just feels like a light pinch for a second. If I have anymore babys I will get it again!

The worst part of the epidural is the poke and burn when they numb you. Feels like a bee sting. After that it’s just really weird pressure. NOTHING compared to contractions. I will 100% be getting one again.

I was totally against getting one at first. It hurt for like a second, instant contraction and pressure relief. I would do it again in a heartbeat.

I was really nervous to get it. I went in hoping I wouldn’t have to because I was so scared of needles. It hurt veryyyy little. It was like a sting and then a bit of pressure and it was all done. 10/10 would recommend.

Both times I’ve gotten it I will say I barely felt it what so ever. The pain of my contractions were 10 million times worse. I think the anxiety of getting it is the worst part.
With my first daughter it didn’t numb my left side so they had me change positions and that helped but then it numbed me all the way up to my neck and I couldn’t feel myself breathe so they put an oxygen monitor and mask on me to make me feel better til it calmed down.
With my second daughter I really have no complaints at all. They put it in, it worked wonderfully & when it started to wear off I was about to push. They told me they could push more medicine or just leave it be. I was still very numb so I decided since it wore off enough to feel my muscles (which is what you’ll feel first as it wears off)  but I couldn’t feel myself touching my skin I passed on re upping it.. and I felt SO MUCH. Soooooo always re dose even if you still “feel numb” I couldn’t imagine natural labor. Kudos to the women who can, y’all are superwomen 🙃😂

I was super nervous about it then it was nothing! This pregnancy it's the least of my concerns.. also had no negative side effects from it.
