When to reveal pregnancy

Question

I am 10 weeks and 2 days, I’m scheduled to get the genetic testing done next week to find out the gender and would to know when is the safe period to reveal the pregnancy to family and friends?

It seems that after 12 wks the risk of miscarriage goes down a bit. Although, last year just before 12 wks, when I was going to tell family, I lost the baby. So this time around, I waited  until 15 wks (after I had a genetic testing done and felt more confident). So it's personal. You choose when ever you feel comfortable.

I’m gonna tell you like I tell everyone whenever you’re comfortable I was 20 weeks last time when my water broke you never know just take it one day at a time but when you’re comfortable telling people tell them if you want to wait then do that I’m almost 10 weeks I haven’t told anyone I only told my significant other and I wouldn’t have done that if didn’t make me test in front of him I couldn’t escape it I had already known because I had been to the doctor and all but I just wasn’t comfortable so I told him to please don’t tell anyone so far just us know haven’t told our other kids

Thats a very personal decision. Anytime is a good time. First pregnancy ee announced at 6 weeks. Then had MC at 9w. This pregnancy we announced at 16w. Theres no right or wrong- do whatever is comfortable for u.

I told local friends and close family early but haven't done a social media reveal yet because the comments really grate on my nerves. [Why do people get a kick out of derpy comments like "Are you sure YoU'Re NoT HaViNg TwInS?!") I have support from the people I see most and the ones I care about most. I like it so much more than when we announced right away on social media with first.

Earlier this year I didn't even tell my mom and then i had a miscarriage and lack of support was hard. In November when i took my test i told my mom right away. Oddly enough, I've told far more people this time around and my ultrasound is today (fingers crossed) at 10 weeks. This time i felt i wanted to tell more people to have more support if something happened. Do what is best for you! Nothing you choose is the wrong choice!
