“You now have an excuse to eat all you want without being judged!”

They say that like it’s awesome. But honestly....

I AM TIRED OF RANDOM HUNGER RIGHT AFTER EATING A PROPER MEAL.

I ate a dinner sized portion of a lunch today. Leftover porcini mushroom tortellini in pasta sauce, a heaping pile of butter greens salad with ranch dressing, all covered in Italian cheese.

It was soooo good and filling. I had a good sized bowl of oatmeal for breakfast. Proper meals.

But not even an hour after lunch, my tummy suddenly felt like I had no lunch today.

Dude, I knew I would eventually get more hungry during this pregnancy. But this is so annoying. I’m not a major snacker, so I never think to buy any proper snack foods when shopping. I’m focused on meals and necessities, not fruit bars, granola bars, baby carrots, and string cheese or what have you. I like chips fine, but those disappear fast with my husband in the house and I never feel like having them when I want a snack. I’m not used to feeling randomly ravenous. I mean, “I want a steak dinner right now, I don’t care it’s 10AM and I had a breakfast burrito”, hungry. I guess I was so focused on proper eating before pregnancy that I just get thrown for a loop when it happens.

Eat all I want, eh? Yeah, it’s sounds awesome when you aren’t the one carrying a baby and trying to be healthy at the same time.

Oh, and eating for 2 is bs. It’s a baby, not a full grown linebacker.

I guess I should put string cheese and fruit cups or something on my next shopping list and ignore my craving for organic milk. I have a budget to keep.

Sorry for the rant. But every time I feel hungry like this, I just hear my mom saying that stupid line.
