Overall, has baby's eye contact increased or decreased?

I read a stupid article about eye contact decreasing in autistic babies. I've been worried about autism practically since he was born and everyone says I'm overreacting, but I just can't help worrying! 🙄

I mean... he makes eye contact if I say his name or he’s taking his bottle. Otherwise he’s busy exploring.

My pediatrician said autistic children never really make eye contact or hardly any to begin with. If your babies eye contact decreased he/she is probably just distracted by other things. They are not good multitaskers at this age. 😊

Autistic children generally don’t make eye contact. However parents sometimes exaggerate when they say the milestones decreased; when in reality their baby always showed signs of autism and you just can’t tell until they’re toddlers and the behaviors are drastically different than peers.
