Maternity leave time frame

To all the mamas on here, how long did you take off for maternity leave? Or even expecting moms how long do you plan to?

I know maternity leave is different all over the world. I know in the USA (where I am from) most can use FMLA to hold their jobs for up to 12 weeks.

Did you take the full 12 weeks? Take less? Take more? Did you feel however much time you did take was adequate enough? Even though I’m sure no time frame ever really feels adequate when it comes to having to leave your baby.
