Taking baby to the clinic for a weight check okay?

Hello! I wanted to take my son in for a weight check to the clinic, he’s small in the 5th percentile. I started him on purées with my doctors okay and I want to see if it’s made any difference! Just don’t know if its silly for me to go in just for that. What do you ladies think? Pic of my little guy just cause 🥰

My little one had his check up and has not gained much only 300g, but my nurse is happy as he had a mental growth instead of a physical growth. He is currently sitting in the 25th pres. But I am not concerned about weight but looking at other facts like his thighs, round tummy and mental growth and that he in general is just such a happy baby. 
PS your baby is gorgeous little man!! Follow you gut, remember as long as you have a lots of wet and dirty nappies. And also every baby develops and grows in a different way

If he’s always been in the 5th percentile (or around there!) then there’s nothing to worry about. Some babies are just small, my girl is also little, around the 12th percentile. It doesn’t mean they’re any less healthy than a big baby. 
I’d wait til a regular appointment because I worry about my baby catching something from the other sick folks in the waiting room (especially during flu season!).

We use our digital scale for a close estimation all the time!

My baby is also little. I wouldn’t worry. 
But if you want to check his weight you can do it at home. Weigh yourself and then again holding the baby. 
We do this all the time as our insurance doesn’t cover the weight check ins so we just email the doctor the numbers.

Omg my son is in the 8th percentile and I always wanna take him in to get his weight checked also 🤣

We have other local resources like some mom groups or a weekly open house at the  public health centre where nurses are available and a scale is there as well. Maybe check in your community to see if there is a similar drop in.
