Anyone else planning to have separate nurseries for their twins?

My husband is pretty persistent about the twins having their own rooms right away...I think this will be odd and make things more difficult. Thoughts?

Nope. Not for me. Not only is it going to be harder going from room to room it honestly is so much better to keep them together because they will get used to each other’s noises. At least that’s how I feel haha.

Right away would probably just make it harder on you.... going room to room all night long 😴 but once they’re 3-5 months and sleeping better, separate rooms might not be a horrible idea so they don’t wake each other? I haven’t even thought that far, just going to see how it goes when it comes lol 
If it makes him happy to have 2 nurseries then just do it, you can always rearrange and obviously at first they’ll most likely be with you anyways.

Ours are still together in the same room. I just didn't have the heart to separate them from each other. They have become used to each other's noises and can sleep thru one crying now. It is also easier on me to have them together. 
Ours were in the nicu too for a short time but our hospital had specialized twin rooms so they didn't have to be separate.
My sisters are identical twins also and my mom said she was unable to separate them without them crying for each other.

We pretty much did this and it’s what worked best for us. We couldn’t all sleep in the same room as none of us got any sleep, and my twins had very different sleeping and feeding habits right from the start. You’ll probably need to wait and see what works best for you when your twins arrive.

Ours have always shared and they generally never wake each other up. They learn to sleep through each other's disturbances and honestly find comfort knowing each other are there as they fall asleep and wake. Recommend keeping them in the same room! I plan to keep them in the same room until they are like 18 😝

This is what we did! It was amazing for us. Our twins were also NICU babies so they were immediately separated. Once we all got home they didn’t know the difference. You have to do what works for you.

Unfortunately, we don’t have an option since our oldest has the other bedroom. Aside from my hubby’s and my bedroom, one of the other two is bigger than the other, and we were going to move our oldest to that room and keep her room as the nursery. When we found out that we are having twins, we decided to keep our daughter where she was! 😂 That made the decision easy for us! I wish we could figure out how to make that big room into two, but it probably won’t happen!
