Trying to understand this whole dispute about the Ontario autism program...
So I know a few people who’s kids have autism, and they seem to be pretty upset over the whole thing.. so know I am not in any way trying to invalidate their argument, I understand not having support/an EA for your child at school, its probably terrifying sending them there.. but what I am questioning is what people are upset with the funding for.. and like I said I know people are really stressed about this so don’t jump down my throat, I support you and your childs needs fully. I just don’t understand why, $20 000 a year given directly to a family, isn’t enough?
Am I understanding this wrong? That’s over $1500 a month, not including child tax and other income. How is that not enough? If it isn’t then they need to be making therapy and programs to help autistic children cheaper..
