Friend's gf came for Christmas? Advice?

So my high school friend told me he started dating this girl but she was only an exchange student for a few months. Then she went back to her home country and they decided to be in a long distance relationship. After a couple months my friend decided he does not want to be in a relationship anymore where it won't work, plus they have only been dating for a few months.
He decided to break up with her last week, but then she told him she already booked flights to come here and spend Christmas with his family. She did not tell him her plans to come here, and was planning to just surprise him and spend Christmas with him.
He told her not to come, but she said she wants to make it work.
My friend came to me for advice because he does not want to be with her anymore, but now he has to have her spend Christmas with his family too. He said to me "it ruined my Christmas" and he does not know how to end it.
I don't know what to tell him myself. What do you ladies think?

I think he has to tell her again, not to come, they're breaking up, and she isn't welcome...
He's allowing her to ignore his boundaries and feelings. He said not to come, she better not.

I think she should keep her flight and go but instead don't attend his Christmas with his family. Instead rent a hotel room or something and do a little sight seeing near by for the time she is there. Its not fair to force him to have her come to his family Christmas and if she's even able to cancel her flight then it might not be refundable.

If it were my friend I'd tell him to let her know that she isnt welcome at his house and to make other plans or to cancel the flight.

Not that he should have to, but he could split or pay the cancellation fee of her flight. He needs to be forceful

He can call the cops on her for trespassing. If he doesn’t want her then she can’t make him take her back. Just make sure she isn’t crazy😬. 
He should tell her he’s seeing someone else and there’s no room for her plus it’ll be awkward having an ex there. Hopefully she doesn’t know where he lives

That would be so awkward of her to come anyways. Sounds like he's too nice to her and she has hope and is heartbroken. He needs to be a jerk and say I'm not picking you up at the airport, there's not a bed for you here; maybe threaten he'll call the police if she comes to the house. Something so she knows she's not welcome. Then cut all contact. If she still shows up, that's a stalker.

She needs to cancel the flight or find something else to do. He’s not stuck spending Christmas with anyone. Unfortunately that happened to me. I booked a flight to see a “boyfriend” and it’s something we planned together that we would do. About a week after booking the flight, he broke up with me. I didn’t try forcing myself on him and I wouldn’t want to go anywhere I wasn’t welcome. I went ahead and canceled my flight. Since it was something we planned together, he told me he would reimburse me the cost of the flight. He never did. She is being disrespectful not respecting his wishes and coming anyway and he’s being disrespectful to both himself and her by allowing in and not putting his foot down. If she keeps insisting on coming, I would tell her she’s more than welcome to not cancel her trip but she wasn’t welcome to stay with me or spend any sort of time with me.
