Does anyone else ever worry...

..that something bad will happen to their baby behind their control where it concerns you to the point of tears snd panicking? Like my sweet sweet boy is in his crib next to me and I’m straight panicking something will happen to him and I can’t help him. He’s asleep but I want to pick him up so bad right now so I’ll let him sleep. Guys. Seriously I hate this worry. I can’t be alone can I?

It is called catastrophic anxiety. I have it, too. You might want to check with a therapist or at least research it as part of postpartum anxiety.

Happens to me sometimes too. I blame it on the hormones although my baby is 6 months now so it's probably not that. I try to ground myself by listening to his breathing or my own. Try to be in the moment.

I think almost every new mom deals with this.  We literally are experiencing for the first time part of ourselves, part of our heart existing, living, breathing, walking, etc. outside of our bodies.  It can be super stressful, I remember absolutely panicking on our way home from the hospital because I was so nervous someone was going to hit us on the way home.  I’ve learned to breathe and pray through all the new mama anxiety.  It’s tough, but mine as gotten better with time.
