Ectopic pregnancy?

So found out I am pregnant and not exactly sure how far along I am. Doctor had me scheduled for a ultrasound on 1/20. Anyways, I've been having stabbing pains in my neck and shoulder area and have felt slightly nauseous at times but no vomiting. Is this something a ectopic pregnancy can cause? No one seems to be concerned but my bf is concerned it's not good. Thoughts?

It is a constant throbbing but esp when lying down at night there is a stabbing pain every so often. I spotted a week or so ago and that's when I took a pregnancy test (or 5) and found I'm I'm pregnant.

When I had an ectopic, I had very intense, but more throbbing or dull shoulder pain. Not stabbing. And nausea is totally normal. I’d say you’re okay, but if you start bleeding, not necessarily spotting but really red blood, then I’d get to the hospital.
