Anyone have advice?

So my son is 3 1/2. He all of a sudden is a complete brat. He’s always been a really good kid never through temper tantrums. Now this past week or 2 he has a major attitude problem and I don’t know how to fix it. We are at Walmart and if he doesn’t get what he wants he literally starts screaming and hitting me. He knows better, and he does get punishment by now having his tablet or a time out. Etc. is this just a normal age thing or is this from me maybe spoiling him? How should I fix this?  TIA

Its normal they all test their boundaries. You stay consistent. If you say no that means no. He will get it at some point .

Terrible twos are bad threes are worse. He’s testing boundaries and seeing what he can get away with. The more you tolerate the worse that he will be. Some parents negotiate if you behave when we get home you can have ___. Some parents yell and scream. Some parents take them to the car and  get a snack on the bottom. Every parent is different. My mother just gave us the death stare and we just knew better than to act up. Then again my mother’s tactics were embarrassment and shame and getting even. Like when we shoplifted. She blew it up like we robbed a bank. We had to go back to the store, clean it as our community service, had to pay for the item and give it to another kid. Took us to the police station and have a talk with the chief of police that was a friend. Have time out in a jail cell and then sit in the back of the cop car and get a ride in the end. If you slammed the door she took it off the hinges and put the door under her bed and took the hinges with her in her purse. Same thing with the phone chords if you racked up the bill. Take away the chargers same thing now. Or change the WiFi password and they get a letter for each of the chores they do. Tons of creative things that you can do.
