So fussy babies smile later?

My baby is 11 weeks old today & he is not yet smiling socially. I keep reading everywhere that he should be smiling by 3 months. Well that’s coming up soon & I am extremely worried that something might be wrong. He has been an extremely fussy baby so idk if that has something to do with it.

Can anyone relate to this?

Has anyone else had a fussy baby that smiled late? If so, did everything turn out ok?
