Do you think puberty is more physical or mental?

I'm toying around with the idea of being a late bloomer. I'm not lacking in the physical department. I don't really have sexual fantasies and I don't know what counts as one either. I got my first crush a few weeks ago (I'm a freshman) I feel like that's NOT normal. I feel like everybody's been having crushes since 5th grade and I slouched in the back like "ew y'all kiss?" Kids in my grade are having sex and getting pregnant. I feel kinda slow. Do any of y'all relate? I'd hate to just be this bump on a log dragging behind the pack all my life. Any comments/ 
advice would be appreciated 💕💕

Puberty is when your body becomes physically capable of reproduction so technically it's a physical thing. That's not saying that it can't have an effect on your mental health but by definition, it's definitely physical.

Be happy you don’t have any interest in that stuff though. There’s nothing to gain by having sex at your age. 
I promise you, you’ll find that out as you get older. 
For now focus on you, your a kid still, have fun at school, make lots of friends! You’re only going to experience highschool once, you’ll be able experience boys the rest if your life.

Never feel like you are behind in your development as a person just because you aren’t doing what everyone else is. Growing up is hard, and puberty is a process. You’re hit with hormonal/emotional changes long before physical changes manifest. It is okay, and it IS NORMAL not to be on the same page as your peers. Don’t sweat it, you’ve got time to kiss whoever you want whenever you feel like you are ready 👌✨

Puberty is becoming sexually mature, a physical thing. The hormones that cause it will give you mental effects such as instincts desires etc, but those hormones come from your body and then travel to your brain, so I’d say physical with mental side effects. Both are very important to achieve reproducing though, you can’t have physical without the mental
