Should I cancel? Abnormal Vulva Skin?

I have an appointment for an IUD insertion on January 8th and I am not comfortable with how my lower region looks. For many years, almost a decade now, I have been getting painful acne and ingrown hairs on my vulva and around my bikini area. And I mean painful. So painful I couldn’t wear underwear because it would hurt. I have scars along that area now. They are like huge dips on my skin. I’ve also had acne on my butt as well but now I don’t get them there anymore. It’s gotten better but I do have scars. So I’m not confident in my own skin. I also have darkness between my thighs.

I am so embarrassed I wanna cancel and just stick to my BC pills. But I am so tired of swallowing pills because at times I forget. Has anyone ever experienced abnormal skin issues down there? How did you make it better?Should I not be embarrassed? What can I do?

And just so we are clear, I get these skin issues on my vulva not my vagina. It’s the peach colored area. And the black colored area is where my darkness is. Help please?
