What do I do?

My boyfriend chooses his play station 4 over spending time with me. Not even five minutes back from work and he's already playing video games. It's almost midnight here. 😓

Been through this with a lot of ex boyfriends. I just do what I want while they played theur game, a hobby of mine, or read or something. If it gets out of hand, confront him about it and express that you want some undivided attention without the distraction of games and technology.

My husband used to do that. We're getting divorced because he abandoned me. When we were dating and first married, I didn't mind the video games that much. But, after a while, I felt he needed to grow up and take some responsibility in our relationship. He would come home, plop down on the love seat and play PS 4 for hours while I made dinner and did stuff around the house. I even went as far as to put on 4 inch heels and sexy outfits to entice him to pay attention to me. I usually got "Oh, very nice! Let me get to a save point and we'll play". After an hour of waiting, i usually gave up. We finally got to the point where we were just roommates instead of spouses.

For the first couple years, it bothered me, I HATED it and we were always fighting. As we have gotten older, I realized that it's just something he enjoys. It is his hobby. It is his way to relax and get out any pent up anger and relieve stress. The more you get pissed off about it, the harder the relationship becomes. I'm sure you do something, have a hobby that he doesn't enjoy, but you wouldn't like it very much if he wanted you to quit whatever makes you happy and feel good. This is such a pathetic thing to get upset about. I'll admit that sometimes I do still get frustrated, but I'll just ask him if he could finish whatever he's doing in the game, and then ask if we could watch a movie together or something. We are better than we have ever been now. It doesn't make them immature. It's almost like therapy for them.

Talk to him about it. If he doesn't start spending a little more time with him, I'd consider leaving. All I can think is "If you have a kid with him, is he still going to pay more attention to the video game instead of your child?"

Try and join him, my hubby was the same way he always played his xbox or playstation till one day i asked if i can join (i didnt really know how to play but he taught me) since then we always play together and its lots of fun!
