Flange size

Hi, I posted this pic a few days ago to get opinion on flange size and a few ladies agreed it seemed small (24mm) so I sized up to 27mm.

So far, the 27mm seems a better fit but it’s slightly uncomfortable when my pump changes from let down mode to expression.

When it’s in let down mode the amount of nipple pulled into the flange looks perfect and feels comfortable, but when the suction changes (and not even on high suction) a lot more gets pulled in, pic below - could a 27mm still be too small? The nipple is well centred so it looks sort of right.
