Is someone “cheats” on their boyfriend or girlfriend when they are like 16 doesn’t mean at all that they will do it when they are older or the next relationship

Do I think the habit continues for the rest of their life? Yes and no. 
Some people will continually cheat on partners because of various reasons.
Some people on the other eventually find someone the actually give a shit about and settle down with them.
Personally if I know someone I'm seeking a relationship with has cheated on an ex I wouldn't continue to see them because it would immediately set the seed of doubt and untrust in my mind, if they did it to an ex they could do it to me and I'd rather not catch feelings for someone who could do that to anyone.

My husband has cheated on people before me. And I actually met my husband while I was with someone. I broke up before we ever did anything serious and I told him I knew I was wrong. I kissed my husband before I broke up with my bf at the time. Anyway, we now have been together 5 years and I completely trust him and he trusts me. It sounds hard to believe, but we are like best friends. Cheaters can change if they want to.

i think if you cheat with your partner now then youll always have that type of resentment and curiosity if they’ll do it again. it breaks a lot of trust and i have yet to meet a couple who just bounced back to “normal” after that. because it doesn’t. it’ll never be normal. someone’s going to be upset about it alll the time and use it as a crutch, someone’s going to get paranoid or jealous, then the sneaking or lying ofc. and then if it boils down to it someone’s looking at someone’s phone trying to find something that probably is or isn’t there. 
i *personally* have dealt with my fair share of cheating an i would just leave the first time. i can’t make something work when they showed no effort to begin with. there’s nothing to build from it
