Ultrasounds & Full Bladder
For my last two ultrasounds, I was told I needed to come in with a full bladder. My doctor says to drink 32 oz of water one hour prior to the appointment, which I did. Both times, I was told I was “too full” and I needed to empty out so the ultrasound tech could get a better picture.
To me, 32 oz seems like a lot? What do you think? What do your doctors recommend for a full bladder prior to an ultrasound? Any ultrasound techs or nurses out there?
I have my next ultrasound on Monday, and I’d like for the ultrasound tech to get the clearest possible picture (it’s the 20 week anatomy scan).
Thank youuuuuuu! 😍
