I was reading the comments on a post about dads taking baths with their kids, one of the commenters said that she was “raised to never trust anyone with her kids, not even her husband” and I thought it was insane, why have kids with someone you don’t trust?

Do I trust my husband not to molest my fucking 15 month old while she’s in the bath with him? Uh yeah. And if you have even a slight doubt in your mind, that’s a little spooky. I grew up sharing showers with my cousin to save water, we were poor and it was just something we did. I also showered with my mom for the same reason. Nowadays it’s not that we’re poor, it’s that it saves time one of us needs a shower and she does too. Human error is giving the wrong change, running a red light, or leaving the curling iron on when you’re rushing out of the house late. Not sexually abusing your children.

I trust him with most things like our kids, paying the bills, or even my own life. But do I trust him to remember to pick up everything on the grocery list. Hell no 😂

Tbh I think bathing with your kids is weird but I wasn't raised with that normalized. I know in some countries while families(mom, dad and kids) all bathe together, especially when the kids are very young. 
I agree that if you don't trust your husband you shouldn't be with him. But on another page sometimes people are very good at hiding their intentions/perversions. 
I'm assuming my mother trusted her exhusband(my ex-stepdad) but she still walked in on him molesting my younger sister(his biological daughter) and promptly beat the shit out of him and had him kicked out and arrested.
...so yeah I see it from both points of views🤷🏻‍♀️

I don't trust anyone 100%. I love my husband to death and I can trust him a great deal, but not 100%. At the end of the day, they are human and fall prey to human error which can end up hurting you.

Do I trust my boyfriend fully with everything? No. Hes a man lol. He will come home with 50 things except the one thing I sent him to the store for, he brings back my food without the NECESSARY (lol) sauces, leaves the doors cracked when he walks out, etc. However do I trust him not to touch our sons sexually? 150% what the fuck. I wouldn’t have had children with him if I didn’t. He would kill anybody who touched our babies. I think if you question someone in any way when it comes to your child’s wellbeing, you should not reproduce with them.

I totally trust my partner but ig it's just my opinion and how I was raised but I think it's just weird that a dad would bathe naked with his son or daughter maybe wearing swim trunks but not naked I just feel like his bare dick and balls is just to close in a bath or shower to be appropriate and being that close naked the child will end up touching him there and his dick and balls is just bound to touch the child's naked body by being that close
