Colds All The Time

I’m 17 and I get colds very often. Right now I have a sore throat and I was just sick like a month ago. It’s never that bad of cold it’s usually just a sore throat that turns into a stuffy nose. I’m worried cause my mom thinks it’s not normal for me to get colds this often and she thinks it might be my tonsils need to come out. Does anyone else get colds often? Should I be worried?
