Baby Boy Born on January 2,2020 at 11:03 pm, only 33 minutes after arriving at the Hospital. Weighing in at 5 lbs 11oz and 18.5 inches long. Gestation 36 weeks 5 days.

So, my mom had told my siblings and i a long time ago about how my dad and her were told that their 4th child would be a girl. Time came to have the baby and as my mom laid on the operating table and heard baby cry, she was told it's a BOY. My parents had literally bought all baby girl stuff. The Drs made mh dad go out and buy new baby boy stuff right there and then bc they refused to dress my lil brother with pink(diff country and my dad wouldn't (i wouldn't) dress my bro in pink).

Now, whenever i was pregnant with my 3rd baby i had the anatamy scan done outside of clinic to a referred place. I was 27 weeks along and i believe that if the tech was only the head Dr that did everything maybe it would have been different, but she was training 2 young ladies(which i didnt mind but just maybe that would have been key diff). I was told girl. I was excited and when i tols my husband, he was 3xcited, but expressed this gut feeling of something being incorrect to which we ignores and went ahead and had everything for a baby girl. Fast forward, to December 23,2019 to my "37th"week apt. There were some issues at the clinic i go to so i was transferred to the sister clinic until baby would be born. I get checked by my Dr who also delivered my last son and told me his gender. He proceeds to check if i have dilated and i wasn't and then does an ultrasound. He then asks if i know the gender to which i respond girl. He pauses looks at me and says i dont think so, listen we all make mistakes but its ok. As soon as i got out of the appt i called thr other clinic top get another ultrasound to confirm what gender my baby is. I was told don't worry the Dr. at the ultrasound is accurate, she has 3D 4D ultrasound and this Dr.'s is not updated like hers so disregard him. So i said okay.

I let my husband know(he was due now it wasn't a girl i suppose) and said ok they should make sure though, but i assured him baby was a girl.

Fast forward to 1/2/2020, contractions start at 4:58pm ranging from 30sec-50sec for more than an hour and it confused me bc they werent as consistent and a minute long at any time to make me think I'm in active labor. So i tell my husband i think this is it but I'm so confused. I guess i looked to chill for me to be in full blown labor bc even after i took a hot bath and told him they werent going away and i couldn't talk, he didn't even try to get the boys and himself ready. I was so upset at this point bc i couldn't with the pain was scared for the first time in any of my pregnancies(plus flashbacks of how quick uncontrollable and painful my last all natural birth was. We leave at 10:15 pm had a detour, arrive at the hospital @10:30pm. Had a needle break when they were trying to insert the IV. Was an 8cm dilation when i thought hmmm the contractions aren't consistent im a 5 or 6 ill get the epidural and chill. Nope Dr.was called, he came checked me broke my water(i asked again for an epidural got denied bc it was too late and was told my water had to be broken bc baby was practically going to be out in the next few minutes bc i progress fast and it wouldn't work)and said she is ready max 10 mins. He went upstairs for other patients, nurses were told to tranfer me but with disbelief took longer and when we did get to the delivery room(11pm) it only took 2 contractions when i started involuntarily pushing. And panic filled the room. Nurses were trying to reach my Dr numerous times, they called another one to come, they were telling me to stop(i didn't bc baby either way kept coming even if i didnt push) screamed bloody murder bc i wanted to breath and give birth slower managed to for a few milliseconds to stop while at the ring of fire stage, but thank God my Dr came in only to catch my baby as he came out like a bullet lol everyone was in shock except my Dr whom alerted them and they finally noticed bc of a record shown on my last delievery(4hr labor 6mins to push son out). My poor husband didn't know what to do lol anywho baby was delivered in 3 mins and low and behold my Dr says,

Its a Boy. Excuse me what? He is a boy. Apparently everyone was under the impression i knew for sure and i explained to them i was told girl. Asked if we had a name and i plainly said no we were expecting a baby girl. We have no baby boy clothes no boy names. And there you go history repeated itself. My husband was so calm peaceful happy and said God knows what is best and it was in His plan for us to have our 3rd and last child to be a boy(no we aren't going to try for a girl).

Whenever i finally got settled and out of crying out of shock not disappointment(we are both so happy and blessed to have a happy easy calm healthy baby boy), i laughed at how everything went down lol (too many details to fit in one post sorry)

So happy 24hrs baby Adir Nathanael C.we love you so much!

Sorry for the long post :)
