9-12 month developmental review

Hello all,

We have our son’s 9-12 month review on 08/01 and he turns one on 13/01. Just wondered what sort of questions are asked and what they look out for?

Our son seems advanced in some areas, we are told this all the time, but his communication skills are off. He doesn’t clap, wave, imitate, respond to his name the first or second time, sometimes not even the third or fourth, he has been saying dada for months but has only been saying mama for just under two weeks. He does babble, but he doesn’t converse with us - he ignores us! He’s a smart boy and does learn things alone, he just doesn’t learn from anything we try and teach him! I am not worried as such because all children learn at their own rate, but I also wondered if anyone had/has a baby like this? Thank you
