Financial stress

We just bought our first house back in August and with the new routine of mortgage payments, bill payments and the holidays it was a lot of stress financially. We were just getting used to the new payments when the holidays came around.

Now that Christmas is over, we want to start buckling down and only spend money of necessities such as food, bills, house etc.

We aren't big spenders, rarely do we buy anything for ourselves. Most of our spending goes towards food, I'm sure others can relate.

We aren't in debt whatsoever, I personally do have a student loan that I'm paying off but other than that, we don't owe anything.

We have a basic account where our paychecks go into and where our bill payments come out of. We have a separate savings account which we contribute to weekly.

Recently I'm finding it tough looking at our basic account after the mortgage is paid for, bills paid and groceries are bought.

I know I should be grateful and happy that we aren't in debt and we are able to pay for our house and the bills associated with it. But does anyone get anxiety once they see the amount left in your account after everything is paid for and you're waiting for the next paycheck?

To give a little breakdown, my husband gets paid weekly and our mortgage is weekly payments. My maternity pay is every 2 weeks.

I'm sorry if this is super confusing, the financial stress is getting to me.

Do you ladies experience the same, especially once the holidays are over it's a big eye opener.

Thanks for listening to rant❤
