Cloth diapers vs disposable?

Question

Are cloth diapers worth all the hype?? Or is it more work than what it’s a worth? I’m not opposed to disposable at all... had more of an interest of possibly doing cloth. Opinions?

I use these ones. Love love love them.  Every other day I wash them.  Super easy so far.   I heard once they start solids you have to do more prep work and spray them.  Check out some blogs I did lots of research to determine what system I wanted.  I went with pocket diapers and double up on liners to avoid leakage at night.

We have talked about maybe doing cloth at home and disposable when out/traveling. My husband realized that he doesn’t like how cloth diapers look under clothes. There is a family at our church that uses them, and he was like, “why is that kid shaped weird?” I told him it was a cloth diaper, and he was like “nevermind.” 😂
I would like to think I would keep up with laundering them, but I’m afraid I wouldn’t. Some types also must be air dried, so that could take a while too.

I used disposable with my older 3. When my daughter was born January 2019 we used disposables until she would get rashes no matter what. Switched to cloth. Rashes went away and never returned. I was so intimidated. Once you jump in, it's SO easy! I can't imagine still buying diapers for her! We haven't bought a single diaper since she was a month old! If you get all in one it's literally the easiest thing. If you're out just bring a wet bag. Keeps any smell away.  It's so easy to wash and care for. They're so cute too. No more running to the store at 2am because you forgot to get diapers!

I'm so used to them that I hate the way disposables look and feel 😆 there are so many options to fit preferences and different brands fit different body types. Washing is just another load of laundry and easy af.
 As far as development, cloth is actually BETTER for their hips! Cloth is similar to the spica casts that they put babies in for hip dysplasia, keeps the joint in a more natural position (for babies)  My lo is taking first steps at 10m, which is no different then his older brother who was is disposables.
